According to local legend, the name "Soul Sister" honours the friendship between two girls, Jharna, the daughter of a Nepali village headman, and Kshaid, the daughter of a Khasi farmer. Their names are associated with the meaning of "waterfall" in their respective linguistic contexts, giving the destination a distinctive local story.

October to April is generally considered a suitable period for trekking, when weather conditions may be more favourable. Trails can become slippery during the monsoon, so check local conditions before planning your visit.

Travel towards Lampi in Kamrup district and arrange local guidance for the forest approach. The final journey requires a trek of approximately 5.5 km, so wear sturdy hiking shoes and carry sufficient drinking water, snacks and a charged phone.
