The waterfall is known for its impressive height and strong natural flow, particularly during the wetter months. The combination of cascading water, rocky terrain and dense greenery creates a refreshing setting for sightseeing and nature photography. Its location away from the busy town environment also gives visitors an opportunity to enjoy a quieter outdoor experience.
Development work at the site has made access easier for visitors. A concrete stairway with railings leads towards the waterfall, helping travellers negotiate the steep approach. A concrete viewing platform and a small dam below the waterfall have also been developed around the site. Additional facilities include an approach road and a rest house-cum-gallery, supporting the area's development as an eco-tourism destination.
Didaodip Waterfall can be included in a Maibang sightseeing itinerary along with other attractions in the surrounding Dima Hasao hills. Visitors should exercise caution on wet steps and rocky surfaces, especially during the rainy season when water flow can become stronger.
