Who Are the Bodos?
The Bodo people belong to the Bodo-Kachari ethnic group, and they primarily inhabit the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), which includes districts like Kokrajhar, Baksa, Chirang, and Udalguri. They also reside in other parts of Lower Assam.
Population:
According to the 2011 Census, there are over 1.4 million Bodo people in Assam, making them the largest tribal group in the state.
