Sati Joymoti was the wife of Ahom prince Gadapani, who later became King Gadadhar Singha. During a time of political instability in the Ahom kingdom, Joymoti was captured and tortured by enemies to reveal her husband's whereabouts. However, she remained silent and endured inhuman torture, sacrificing her life but protecting the future of the Ahom dynasty.
