She captured the gold medal at the India Open International Boxing Tournament held in Guwahati and followed it with another gold medal at the President's Cup International Boxing Tournament in Indonesia. Later that year, she represented India at the AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships in Ulan-Ude, Russia, where she won the bronze medal in the 54 kg category, becoming one of Assam's leading international boxers.
After her successful 2019 season, Jamuna suffered a shoulder injury that temporarily interrupted her career. Despite the setback and rehabilitation period during the COVID-19 pandemic, she made a determined comeback and continued competing at the national level. She later earned another bronze medal at the Elite Women's National Boxing Championship and also reached the final of the Elorda Cup International Tournament, winning a silver medal.
Following her competitive boxing career, Jamuna resigned from the Assam Rifles and was appointed as an Excise Inspector by the Government of Assam under the state's sports policy, recognizing her achievements in international sports.
