Didriksha Sonowal was born on 27 September 1999 and hails from Tinsukia, Assam. She later became associated with Maligaon in Guwahati and proudly represents the rich cultural traditions of Assam. She is the daughter of Reena Devi Hazarika and Achitra Sonowal. From an early age, she showed a deep passion for dance and actively participated in cultural programmes, especially performances related to Assamese folk traditions.

Her love for Bihu dance gradually developed into a lifelong commitment to promoting the cultural heritage of Assam across India and beyond.

Education

Along with her passion for performing arts, Didriksha Sonowal pursued higher education in engineering and built a successful professional career as a Civil Engineer. She currently works in Mumbai, Maharashtra, balancing her engineering profession with her dedication to dance.
